Alrighty folks, it's 2010 and time to update this Company's look, feel and overall essence of Photography! I've been wanting to do an overhaul on my blog and website for a while and for now was able to get the BLOG going...next thing to tackle will be the website. BUT, I love it and I hope you will too so from now on head on over to the new site www.twintyphotography.com/blog

Please Subscribe to this new site so you will receive updated posts and what not. It's located in the top menu bar to the very right. I'll be using this site to post anything and everything like new specials and things going on in the lives of Amy and I as far as photography is concerned. Engagement Session inspiration

While perusing all of my Fav bloggers today I came across a newbie... for me at least, Tea Ho of Dreambox Photography. She had a great post about Engagement ideas for the happy couple to think about before their session. I loved how she put it into perspective so I am referencing her blog post today and sharing it with all of you brides to be that read my blog! Hopefully I'll be photographing your Engagement session in the future!

1) Think about things unique to you and loveé. Do you share favorite movies? Books? Hobbies like bicycling, painting, or even collecting stamps? Are you silly? More serious? Bookish? Part of a motorcycle gang? Have a soft spot for kung fu movies? These can all bring some oomph and pizazz to your images!

2) Think about significant places. Are there any places significant to your history like where you had your first kiss or first date? Are there stores you like to frequent together? Parks? Beaches? Your photos will be all the more sentimental for them.

3) How do you picture the Engagement session? Do you want traditional romance? Indie kookiness? Edgy rocker chic? Young professionals? Funky? Light-hearted? Funny? Playful? Modern? A vintage feel? Urban or Country? A mix of both?

4) What to wear? Wear something that is YOU! Wear something that reflects the two of you. Don’t bother sticking to matching khakis and white shirts, unless that’s your gear. If you want to wear bright bright colors, do it! It’ll create a more dynamic photo session. I would,however, suggest that if one person wears a print (floral, stripes, plaid, etc.) that the other person stick to more solid colors to avoid major clash.

Do a little dance and feel free to make some faces! Laugh! Tell jokes! Try to be yourself. Most of all, HAVE FUN. There is no right or wrong while taking these photos because they are all about YOU!!!

Let's just start out by saying I love Michaels Arts and Craft Store, not only because I worked at their corporate office in Irving but they really have some great stuff. I found an isle full of $1 items and boy did I go nuts....best purchase EVER. So when I knew I would have a 4 year old for my shoot on Sunday I was so excited to test out some of my new props. Hahahaha, in the end I think Amy had the most fun. Her new job title is Assistant Sword Fighter....she was awesome keeping Mr. Parker entertained while we got some shots of his little sister Taylor who is 6 months old.

She was such a happy baby, her mom had the cutest vision in mind to show her little tooshie from behind and even her brother was helping us place her at the right angle and straighten out her scarf to capture this beauty.

I am so pleased to introduce to you my Boss's daughter Valerie. She is the ultimate baby doll with such porcelain skin and pink little lips and sparkling blue eyes. She was exactly 1 month old at our session on Sunday and her momma and daddy are just full of happiness. Her mom had this bassinet that has been handed down many generations and I thought it was so cute and creative how she decorated it with flowers and baby's breath. More babies to come soon but I thought she would bring a smile to your day :)

Hottie alert! Ladies be on the lookout for this freshman Aggie next semester! Senior guys are a hoot to photograph....it's like a mission to make them have some kind of fun while they are there because you know the only reason they are doing this is because they were probably threatened by their mom :). If he wasn't having fun he fooled me. Carter was so easy going and even changed into different outfits just for us! You rock!

Finally, I've been patiently waiting to meet this bundle of joy. We did her mommy's maternity pictures back in December and low and behold miss Hunter just couldn't wait to her due date and was nearly a month early I believe.

She was just precious! I saw quite a few newborns this weekend so it's going to be baby overload on this blog but who doesn't love an adorable baby :)

This is the same blanket we used for her mommy's maternity pictures. I swear Carla is the hippest new mommy with a house full of eclectic vintage pieces with years of memory.

Miss Brittanie was so much fun to photograph this past weekend. Lucky for me, their football team lost so we got to keep her portrait session and it was a great day to be out and about on the town. They came all the way from my hometown of Portland, Texas! That's right goooooo Wildcats!

I took her over to the Cathedral of Junk....I know I know, it's my favorite place it seems but it's such a cool place and a hidden treasure for those that live here. Then we headed downtown and out to Mueller airport. She rocked all my locations like I knew she would and Amy and I couldn't wait to get home and look at the images. Hope you guys like! Congrats in everything you do Brittanie!

It's a small world afterall. From thumb wars, junior high dances, dangerous 4-wheelin and sneaking out, to all grown up and in love....this is our friend David who happens to be marrying another one of our friends Beth, who is as funny and loyal as they come. We were so excited to be photographing their engagement pics this past weekend. This had to be one of the funniest shoots I've been on (see above)! They both were so tickled at the fact of having pictures taken of them....little did they know we had supermodels in the making.

We started at the Austin mural and went into downtown Roundrock, TX where miss Beth grew up. Even though the wind was absolutely CRAZY they did amazing and I have the pics to prove it!!!! Love you both!!!!

Oh how I love Midlanders...Rob and Lesley got married this weekend at the University Catholic Center on campus. They looked gorgeous and we got to do a session together before the wedding....which is my FAVORITE thing to do. I feel like it relaxes the couple and you can really capture true beauty and love from them. They were too adorable and we were so excited they chose us to capture their "I Do's". It's never too late to get pictures taken. Back when I was in highschool we used to love taking group pictures with all of our friends so why not bring that back? I've put a package together for you and your friends to get some individual as well as group photos with those that you love.

Our little cousin Kinley is getting sooooo big. She just lights up your day with her precious smile. I can't believe my cousins finally have a baby when we move away from Dallas :(. We got to see her last weekend though but it just wasn't long enough. She's already 9 months old and has a sassy attitude....haha serves her daddy right.

She is so smart and determined. Her mommy sets her toy down a bit away from her bc she's almost crawling. I could've sworn she was just about to but somehow she ends up reaching her goal everytime by pushing her body back and forth. Those little abs must be made of steel. Amy and I tried laying like her for like 30 seconds and were already feeling defeated....haha how do babies do it....legs up arms up.

I love baby tongues....too cute.

What is Boudior you might ask? I think everyone has a different idea about these type of sessions as well as maternity shoots sometimes. Boudior is whatever you make it to be. It's a shoot to make you feel sexy, pretty and loved. If you just want a more personal image or something to show off your best assets for the one you love then this session is for you. I met Sunny a couple of weeks ago at Le San Michele, a beautiful wedding venue in Budah, TX. Sunny owns Alpine Florists and is a wedding coordinator and owner of Austintatious Weddings. Busy bee! As much as I love baby girls, little boys can be so fun to dress as well. They look good in rock n roll gear as well as preppy cashmere :). Back in December we shot Amber's maternity pics and have been dying to come and meet mr Skyler. This little family is so uber stylish....which we LOVE. His daddy spiked up his hair towards the end and that was the highlight of my day. Why do I love mohawks so much? Even after he pee'd all over mommy and daddy's suede chair we oooh'd and aaaaah'd at all his little moves and outfits.

Baby Luke is one happy boy surrounded by all these lovely ladies...but he likes to give the oh so cool boy looks like it doesn't phase him . This family was a hoot to shoot, they reminded me of Amy and I on a phtooshoot, full of energy and exuding happiness. We met up at the Domain here in Austin and I just love it out there on a Sunday afternoon. You should try it sometime, they usually have live music and great people watching...not to mention the best store ever...Forever 21 :)

We had soooo much fun this weekend with Em & Colin. I swear you will not meet a nicer person than Emilie. She's a walking ray of sunshine and just kept thanking us all day for taking their pictures....haha I just love her. They are so cute together and I think even Collin was having fun while we made them run up and down downtown :). I'm pretty sure they must've been practicing their serious faces at home bc WOW...gorgeous!

That's my secret goal in sessions...to make the boys enjoy it :). This adorable couple is getting married in July in Cozumel and we just hope we get to attend. It would be Amy's first destination wedding...woohoo! PLENTY more pics to come....it was one tough cookie to only pick these few to post so get ready for some stellar photos coming your way guys.

World, meet Miss Sophia, she is 2 weeks old, loves her mommy, loves to be dressed in pink and has the coolest grandma and great grandma :). These 4 generations of women helped out this weekend for Sophia's photoshoot, along with her older brother and daddy. Too cute I tell ya. Stephanie (mommy) used to work with Amy in Dallas and had this room decorated to a T. It was ADORABLE! Daddy even helped and painted this floral canvas which was the focal point of the room. We loved it all! I can't wait for you to see the rest :)

Last Saturday I shot a birthday party for a 1 year old and a 13 year old....How you say could two age groups come together and be able to celebrate a joint birthday and both have fun????
Why only the coolest place on earth.... Goin Bananas Playnasium! So much fun I tell you. Amy and I might of had more fun than the kiddos :)

Madden and his big sis MacKenzie are the cutest ever....Miss M loves her baby brother and there's even two more brothers in between these two that have the most energy I've ever seen. Thank you guys for letting me be a part of your birthdays!

December 19th we came back to our hometown of Portland, TX to shoot Courtney and Chris's wedding. It was such a fun affair to see so many old acquaintances! Chris is a jet pilot in the marine corps and I was so excited to finally get to experience and shoot the whole sword ceremony. They did it after the wedding ceremony outside and it was the coolest. The reception was gorgeous...like a winter wonderland with lights and crystal blue decor. Gorgeous!

I've been looking forward to this wedding for months now and Amy and I had a great time. Congrats you two!

I gotta say, it's nice to switch up the scenery from holiday shoots and what better way to break the cycle than with a not your "everyday" photo shoot....MATERNITY. It's become so popular nowadays and I still have family members, friends, and grandparents who question, "Now what exactly are you doing?". It makes me laugh when people associate maternity with nudie pictures....haha.

I guess I've always been on the side of the fence that sees 'Belly Pics' as beautiful and unique. So everyone lets get with the times and enjoy the next couple of posts.

I shot two beautiful ladies this past weekend in Dallas. Carla, my anthropologie hippie, is a mix of that vintage glam with a splash of hippie. The whole week before all I could think about was a field and her cute little hippie headbands. But when I got there we went digging around in her AMAZING closet and picked out like the first couple of AWESOME pieces and went with that because Amy and I were just in lala land thinking of all the different things we could cram into this 1.5 hour session :) Needless to say, we got some fabulous pics and I didn't even get my hippie headband...hey what can i say, we're maturing. We headed over to her grandparents' estate and found everything we needed...I can't believe they had the opportunity to grow up in such an amazing place! Love ya Carla! We had an absolute blast and can't wait to come back and meet Hunter in March.

Meet Mr. & Mrs. Lawson. Trey and Sabrina are too stinkin cute together and you just always know you're going to have a great time when you're around them....so I just knew their wedding wouldn't be any different. It was held at this beautiful house out near Steiner Ranch in Austin, TX and despite the dreary weather all morning the rain held out so they could have the perfect outdoor wedding. YAY. Now most of the time I will tell you that April and I do EVERYTHING together but there are those few times that we do things on our own. Our friends Poppy and Wes, you all know them to be the oh so fabulous couple we did engagements for and were blogged about by greylikesweddings, were married a couple of weekends ago. April was a bridesmaid and so Poppy asked me to tag along and represent TWINty Photography at the dinner rehearsal. I'm so excited I got to be part of such a special day for them. Coolest kids on the block...

Amy and I are so proud and grateful to have 3 such wonderful cousins...who are all so different in their attitudes and personalities. Ana, our rockstar 8 yr old cousin is a spitting image of what our triplet would be like if we had one :). She's so good to her younger brothers and is the sweetest and most loving girl a family or friend could ask for. Wyatt, the 4 year old middle brother is all BOY. He loves hunting with daddy and playing with toys and is always on the move...but also has such a loving side as well. Last but not least is Cody, the youngest at 2 years old and is definately at the "Terrible 2" stage...haha. He loves seeing what he can get away with and is so precious when he smiles. He's a spitting image of his daddy. They have the best mommy in the world who, when we were Ana's age and even now, adored and looked up to.

I just wanted to take a moment to blog about my family and those who I love the most. Hopefully I'll get some more opportunities soon so take pictures of all my other wonderful family members...but until then, enjoy the Boatmans! LOVE YOU ALL DEARLY!

I have been planning and waiting to shoot Courney's bridals for EVER it seems like and the wedding is finally ALMOST here. From a wedding in Corpus, then to Mexico, now back to Corpus I can't wait!

I just adore these pictures. Growing up in Portland, TX we were racking our brains on where to shoot for this session and I didn't know much about Corpus but Portland is a little small with only so many spots for bridals so we ventured into downtown not knowing what to expect but knowing they wanted some pictures in front of this gorgeous cathedral and I wanted sailboats :). It's too funny to see client's reactions sometimes to locations I choose. Not many people would think a rundown wall with trash around is very glamorous but when you look at the overall beauty of a gorgeous bride up against something more urban/grunge I think it makes the beauty pop even more :). Thanks for trusting me you guys because I think you looked STUNNING!

Midland's first cake ball catering company owned and operated by Becky Brockett and Leslie Neatherlin. If you're wondering what they are here's how I would explain it...the outside is hard like hardened icing with a moist cake on the inside....get it? Mmmmmm

This past weekend we were in Dallas shooting some Family Holiday Mini Sessions and since we got rained out last month I got to reschedule this newborn shoot while I was there...it was such a fun change of scenery to get to giggle and ooh and ahh over this little 6 month old cutie pie Jack.

He was such a HAPPY baby...which makes my life soooo easy :). His momma brought all kinds of fun things to use for props...which I LOVE and it totally made the perfect for his photos.

We came into Dallas/Grapevine this weekend to sing at the Grapevine Opry and take some photos and got a chance to do my cousin's photos saturday while the weather was still good. Unfortunately I had to reschedule a couple of sessions but I can't wait to start the Holiday photo sessions next weekend.

I've been looking forward to our shoot with baby A for sometime now. We did Momma Julie's maternity pics back in June and waited closer to the fall to take their Christmas/newborn pics! Avery was so good for our photoshoot and even fell sound asleep at the end to let us capture those precious "sleeping baby" pictures. Even though we didn't get to use their "oh so fabulous" baby room Julie brought the room decor to us. LOVE the damask!

I am officially obsessed with this hat and might try to make one :)

SO I'm a little behind on some posts but I've got some cool exciting news to share... I am a MENTOR...Woohoo! My new little "Mentee" Fresh intern has arrived and is uber smart and fantastic! Miss Carsen is a Junior at Westlake High and has decided to use me as a mentor for one of her independent studies this session...I'm so flattered! So if we have a shoot over the next couple of months you'll probably see this cute eccentric Austinite following us around helping out so please make her feel welcome! Thanks girl!

On another note, I met Gus a couple of weekends ago at the Frio River during our show with Gary P. Nunn and Nate Kipp. My newfound best bud was eager to help out once I filled him in on a possible shoot that following week-which I so happened to need a model :) He's got the camera in the palm of his hands :) Thanks Gus, can't wait to show you the rest.

My face is still hurting from smiling sooooo much on Friday night. Even Saturday thinking back to what had just happened was just so surreal and exciting I couldn't stop smiling.

Friday, September 11th, 2009, what should have been the day one of my best friends was going to get proposed to and surprised with an engagement party out at the beautiful Horseshoe Bay Marriott Resort, turned into a Surprise WEDDING....that fooled all of us. IT WAS AWESOME!

Let's see where to begin. Back in May JR (the groom) contacted us to fill us in on his plans to propose bc he wanted to make sure we were there to photograph it. They kept talking about eloping so he wanted to make sure friends and family got to be at something so the planning for the surprise engagement party started. Meredith is the biggest SNOOP and always knows everything it seems so everyone kept this hush hush over the summer so that she can be surprised for once in her life....hahaha it's just too funny to think back about all the conversations and things that were said now as to hints that could've given it away. I mean she even had me going one night thinking she was tired of waiting for him to pop the question so she was going to do it that night....she was probably rolling over in her chair listening to me squirm and try to give reasons why she should wait and let him have that moment. :) Plus I did an engagement session for her (calling it a lifestyle session) thinking she's just nuts and wants to be prepared for when it comes...of course in my mind I'm thinking, oh perfect I'll have pics for them at the party. LORD.

Anywho, Friday we pull up and we've had our suspicions about something going on due to little things here and there but still we weren't sure exactly what it was going to be....Soooo, Amy and I get there when we were told and we walk in and were ushered to this room with big grand doors that is just screaming "a big surprise lies behind these doors"! Then the doors slowly open and there hanging in the corner is a GORGEOUS ivory wedding gown and our beautiful blonde friend in all smiles saying "Surprise...I'm getting married". Ahhhhhhhh, from then on I literally could not stop smiling. We were told we were bridesmaids, singers and photographers for the night....hahah. Love it!

Only their parents and a couple of friends, who helped execute the event, knew about it and the rest of the bridesmaids and groomsmen were told one by one when everyone arrived in the bar at 6:00. Then shortly after, the rest of the party was ushered into the ceremony area where a candlelit isle and black and white modern programs lie on the chairs. The reactions were priceless from the crowd and in walks her step-dad down the isle who stopped at the front and turned around. (He got ordained online so that he could marry the couple and be an integral part of her day as well as her father.)

Amy, myself and Carmen (another bridesmaid) start singing and in comes the most gorgeous bride you've ever seen. (I might be biased but hey she was stunning!). Then the rest was history. They were sooooo excited to finally have their secret out with their best friends and closest family members.

Anywho, I am all about surprise weddings or surprise proposals so if anyone is looking for a photographer...I'm your gal! :) Also Mrs. Sunny Jensen at Alpine Florists did an AMAZING job coordinating the decor and the floral arrangements that I'm sure I'll show really soon. Here's a quick teaser of our sweet Mrs. Ketter for those of you girls who are dying to see what she wore!

For those of you that don't me...or my evil twin :) well here's a chance to see what we look like. I can honestly say we are the happiest little twins today. Yesterday Amy and I opened up our email to find an email from the wonderful Lisa Woods with Now and Then Photography that says: YOU'VE BEEN BLOGGED....EEeeeeeeeek we both shrilled!

See, Sunday evening we had a photoshoot with her for our upcoming album that will hopefully be debuting sometime within the next couple of months that will be called "Headaches and Heartbreaks". So we needed some photos for the album and for the web and what not. It's very different being in front of the lens now since I'm soooo used to sticking behind it but we had very detailed visions and Lisa exectuted ever so nicely! Check em out! More on Lisa's Blog.

I heart Texas for many reasons, but one being that everywhere you go it's a very good chance you'll know someone or someone that knows somebody else...haha. So I'd like to think we are all family in a way! This past weekend I met up with my cousin Jill and her soon to be family. Jill and Patrick are getting married in a couple of weekends and we decided to get some fun family photos in Gruene. I can't believe I've never been out there to photograph bc man oh man, it's my new fav place....the rustic backdrops, cool country props and everything in walking distance= Awesomeness!

Here are some of my favs from the session. The boys were so much fun....I love it when guys don't act too cool for photos...these guys looked ruggedly handsome and of course Miss Jill was the perfect cowgirl to have in the mix!

I love my life! This past weekend was perfect...we had a gig at a cute little place on South Congress called Botecellis, then did some photo sessions and saw my momma!!! A girl couldn't ask for more :)

I met the Wolfe family downtown at the Four Seasons for an afternoon session and despite the heat they were full of energy. You gotta be on your toes when you're dealing with 2 year olds :). It's funny bc sometimes I think my clients worry about getting good shots or not since you're technically just following the little ones around since, I mean, at that age who wants to sit still? But low and behold the photos turn out and everyone's happy...I love it! Hope you guys like~

I'm almost caught up on my blogs from this weekend... I hate that there isn't enought time in the day, and that I have a fulltime job that consumes most of my time, but hey gotta pay the bills!

This next lovely lady was only a 4th grader when I last saw her. In college I was an after school counseler for Kids Klub at Rock Prairie Elementary school and back then Miss Haylee was cute as can be and full of personality...not much has changed except she's a Senior in Highschool....CRAZY! She is Best Friends with my camera and so fun to be around I felt like I was her age again :) Eat your heart out Boys...she's going to be an up-and-coming singer someday!

This Saturday we had a flashback to when we were 2 years old :) and their names are Abby and Lauren! These fraternal twins have such different personalities and attitudes. The one thing they have in common is they are both ADORABLY CUTE! Their momma had the cutest outfits for them I'm going to have to start using these as ideas for others when people request what to wear. We had so much fun with the family and were so happy to see ya'll again.

I'm a little late for this post but back in April or so after living in Austin a couple of months I met one of my old highschool buds at Torchy's....awesome taco place, and she then starting spouting off all these uber cool places I have to see in Austin that only the locals know about ya know? Well to our amazement I told her what Amy and I wanted to do for our first music video and she gave me the PERFECT location called the Cathedral of Junk. This man has been building on it for like 20 years or something and it's in his backyard....so stinking unique! GO check it out and leave a tip!

So, when an Austin client of mine called to do some family pics last month I knew just where to go. They were so cute and can't wait to take pics with the new addition to the family as well!

It's official...we are 27 YEARS young! We celebrated in style by kicking off Thursday night with a show at the Tiniest bar in Texas on 5th street in downtown Austin. People came from miles around to watch the one and only "Rankin Twins" perform....haha, well it's technically true since our friends ad family all traveled to see us. My cousins made the cutest shirts that said "Rankin Twins Cuz"....they rock!

Then Friday we headed down to our favorite place in the whole world....Concan Tx. Our hopes of floating soon vanished when we saw the water level...ick! BUT, we did what we do best and that is make use of what we had...horshoe tournament, laid out, cupcake eating contest and had some beverages! Overall it was a FANTASTIC birthday weekend with family and besties! There were a total of 7 of us with July birthdays. Momma bought us the cupcakes...love her! Happy Birthday to Us!

Mary Mary quite contrary, how do you get so low? :) While we were in Dallas this past weekend we met up with Mary and her hubby Scott at the Las Colinas Canals for a maternity session. There were a couple of firsts for both of us: For me it was the location. I've seen many pictures and heard all about it but never been....for THEM (brace yoursevles)...having professional photos taken....Ahhhh can you believe it? You would've never guessed bc they are so darn photogenic. They didn't even have a photog for their wedding. haha

So thank you guys for letting me be your first Photographer and hopefully your lifetime photographer when the little one arrives in September. Oh, and PS...Mary is a yoga instructor for Wild Flower Yoga located in Flower Mound at Yoga Island. This girl can bend and twist like nobody's business. Check out her classes!

They sound like that country love song "Johnny and June" and are just as cute as a button! June was a former Assistant Principal in Katy, TX at my momma's school and I know my mom is going to miss her, as well as the rest of the Rhoads crew but she's now a new Principal in the Dallas area. WOOHOO, way to go Junebug!

Let's see, this past January, I believe, Carl made a surprise visit to Katy to propose over the morning announcements at the elementary school where June worked and Amy and I had the privilege to film and photo the whole thing...it's was just way to precious to describe so hopefully I can upload the video to show you guys. They got married in Arlington this past weekend and at this adorable place called Green Oaks. Everyone looks lovely and can I just say how much I LOVE day weddings!!! Congrats you two! Thanks for letting us be a part of your day!

Carl's Granny is the life of the party! This is one of my favorite pictures that I feel expresses real true happiness! Makes me smile.

The first time they met was at the Frio River last summer and what a memorable moment it was for the both of them...they played the same song they met to as their first dance.

I am one happy photographer...I bought a new Cannon 50D and a new Cannon 70-300 zoom lens...ya baby! Of coarse I REALLY wanted the 5D but hey one day when I'm made of money I'll get whatever I want. A girl's gotta have goals to set and achieve and what's the purpose of goals if you jusmp the gun and achieve them before even setting them :).

So Amy and I went on down to Soco area (South Congress) for you non-Austin folks, to test out this new baby. The exterior and functions are all pretty much the same, just a faster processor. I love it! Our friends Trey and Sabrina, who are getting married November 21st so kindly met us down here for a quick fun shoot. Trey works for Cory Morrow , an awesome Texas Country band, and is a fellow Midlander (we're everywhere) and Sabrina is the cutest owner of A Happy Tail, an amazing pet sitting service in the Austin area. You guys ROCK and I cannot WAIT for the wedding!

I showed up to the Inman's saturday afternoon to see the Cutest DIVA baby room eva! It was pink and black and detailes out the wazoo! Loved it! All it needs is a little sugarplum sleeping in her crib :).

You know those lucky women who only gain weight in their tummy and it almost seems like they loose weight everywhere else...that's what this pregnant woman looks like...beautiful! They had the cutest outfits and ideas picked out...I had so much fun thanks so much you guys. Here are just a couple from the maternity shoot.

This weekend I actually stuck around Austin and did some shoots here and there as well as relaxed...I think I forgot what that felt like :). My first shoot was with one of my oldest and dearest friends and her beautiful new little baby boy! I still can't get over the fact that my friends have cute little children running around. Nicki and her husband live in Portland, TX (my hometown, ya heard) and drove in for this shoot so I was honored to be chosen to capture his first photo session. It was so hot and they braved the heat to meet me in downtown for some great pics. Nicki's maternity session can be viewed below as one of my first posts on my blog. Woohoo! Love you guys!

And YES...he does have the best kissing cheeks a girl could ask for :)

Yet another shoot in good ol Dallas. I had the opporunity to run by my old neighbor's house this past weekend and check in on their newest member of the family not even a week old at the time :)... You gotta love his big sister's hair though. Charlotte is soooo stinkin cute and adorable and I can't help but keep my camera on her at all times. You guys looked beautiful and congrats again!

What do I say about this couple...only that they were Awesome! Their good friend, whom I use to work with, contacted me a while back about getting them the perfect engagement present...ME! So we started discussing areas and ideas and Deep Ellum and White Rock just popped out at us and I think were Perfect for the occasion. I just got an Iphone so maybe I won't get lost anymore :)

World, meet the newest addition to my family, my cousin Kinley. While we were in Dallas this past weekend, Amy and I had the opportunity to perform at the Grapevine Opry, do some photoshoots and hang out with my baby cousin. Isn't she precious? Without further ado, here is a sneak peak from our mini session.Her daddy was in Africa on a safari trip during the delivery (which I missed by like 8 hours since I decided not to go in town until the next day...Boo)...anywho, so the jungle animals seemed to be perfect for her first photoshoot.
Mommy and Daddy already teaching her how to WHOOP :), hehe.
